I will stamp all over 'credible boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be streamed live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two time unified boxing king Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his showmanship - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead targeted former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.

Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly happening.
